THE FIRSTO FIRESTOP: EASY TO INSTALL, EASY TO ADJUST
|
FIRSTO is specifically suitable for the fire resistant
ducting of cables and/or cable trays through wall and floor penetrations.
No other firestop can offer the high level of security with the
flexibility, time and cost savings and highest quality standard that FIRSTO
offers.
Easy, simple and flexible
The FIRSTO cable tray fire stops are developed as a modular system
which is simple to assemble around the cable run against the wall or on
the floor. Working in inaccessible openings is often cumbersome.
With FIRSTO this is a thing of the
past.
The system is not only easy to install, but also makes it simple to add or remove cables at a later
stage. All that needs to be
done is to remove the cover, lift out the top layer (or layers) of firesafe
ACTIFOAM rubber, add or remove the cables, and then close the firestop
again. What could be simpler? The firestop prevents the spread of smoke
and fire, and can withstand heavy mechanical loads.
The FIRSTO firestop solution supports any cable size and quantity. It can be Installed before or after tray and
cable.
Based on the new ACTIFOAM technology, a number of fire tests have been carried out with
FIRSTO firestops, in which the steel casing was filled with a fire resistant packing of
ACTIFOAM sheets. It was found that even where a firestop was positioned entirely at the exposed side it effortlessly complied with an F-90 fire rating. The advantage of the
ACTIFOAM technology is that it is no longer necessary to apply any material in the opening or to install a firestop at each side of the
wall.

FIRSTO firestops are successfully tested at Underwriters Laboratories in
the USA. Approved for walls and floors for an
F- and T-rating of more than 4 hours for units to be placed at the fire side and at the non-fire
side.
FIRSTO is nontoxic, the materials are chemically-neutral and contain no halogens, formaldehyde or asbestos. Its high quality design is also
proved by the fact that it can be used in nearly any environment e.g. hazardous, interior or exterior, dry or wet.
